Generation
Xcellence is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We empower and educate the youth
by teaching them how to be excellent in every area of their lives. We work
cohesively with the community, schools, parents, police departments, and the
churches to encourage & empower the
youth. We have many programs and workshops in which we educate the youth. Some of the areas that we educate the youth are: abstinence, self-esteem, bully syndrome, peer pressure, charity & humanity, leadership, excellence, self-improvement, prevention
methods, responsibility, following rules, obeying parents, respecting others
and purpose. One of our biggest accomplishments and positive youth success stories that we are most proud of is our 13 year old motivational speaker Rionna. Rionna is also an author and life coach for kids. Rionna is truly one of the main driving forces behind Generation Xcellence. Rionna is also responsible for the birth of generation excellence. Her love for others, started a long time ago when she found herself helping many kids in her school, church and neighborhood. Many of her teachers praised her for having positive influence over her peers and for her leadership qualities. It was due to her leadership and positive influence that she helped many kids and in one particular case, her heroic efforts help prevent a fellow class member from taking her own life. This is one of many examples as to our success here at Generation Xcellence. For more information on Rionna, click here. Abstinence: The definition of the word abstinence is the act or practice of refraining from indulgence for certain foods, alcohol, drugs, or sex. It is restraining one's desires. It also means willful avoidance of pleasures, especially in something thought to be harmful. We at Generation Xcellence promote total abstinence in the areas of sex, drugs, and alcohol. Our abstinence program has a history of success. We have educated and empowered many young people all over southern california and many other communities throughout the United States. We have recieved positive feedback on our abstinence program where we educate all youth between the ages of 10-18 how to abstain until marriage. We teach them about pregnancy, std's, Aids and the importance of education. We give each youth a promise ring and promise letter to remind them to wait. We introduce and network the youth with their peers who are also waiting, so they don't feel alone. We put all young people on our WAITING LIST. This list comprise of all the young people who have chosen to wait until marriage and we reward them for their accomplishments. We re-direct their attention to focus on being examples, humatarians and positive advocates to their peers. Our goal is to continue to work together with parents, schools, churches, law enforcement and the community to achieve a more deep-rooted, long-lasting outcome of success. There are many reasons why we believe that young people should abstain from sex, drugs and alcohol. Some of the reasons (but are not limited to) are: std's, pregnancy, addiction, ailments, poor quality of life, etc. Generation Xcellence has books and workshops that can help you with these issues. READ 2 LEAD program: Our Read 2 Lead program encourages young people to be readers and better leaders. We believe that if children read, they will be more knowledgeable, make better decisions and in turn they become better leaders. We also believe that there are many less fortunate children who do not have access to quality books. Our desire is to provide books to all children in every community. We are in need of books to help every child get a chance to read 2 lead. Workshops: Workshops Motivational Speaking: Currently we have 13 year-old Rionna who is a motivational speaker, author and life coach for kids. If you would like for her to come and speak at your school, church or organization, please contact us at 818-434-5974. COMING SOON!!! Generation Xcellence has workshops to help the youth improve their speaking and communication skills. More Information Coming Soon!! At-Risk Youth: Generation Xcellence is committed to helping at-risk youth. We strongly believe that if we educate & empower them now, then they will be strong and wise enough to make better decisions and choose a better path for their lives. We are working with schools and local police departments to reach this goal. We are working on unveiling a new program in our schools and neighborhoods called "New Direction". This program will teach at-risk youth and troubled students how to make better decisions, and choose a new path in their lives. In lieu of suspension or harsh punishment, youth/students & their parents will be required to take our program.
